1. What This Website Is

Grant County Criminal History is an independent private reference website with no government affiliation. It cannot file documents, perform an official background check, retrieve a record on a visitor's behalf, or maintain official criminal records.

The information points readers toward official custodians, including Grant County courts and sheriff records, the Washington State Patrol and Washington Access to Criminal History, and the Washington Sex Offender Public Registry. It may also connect visitors to third-party research tools. Official Grant County agency requests are governed by the Washington Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW, while state criminal-history access and dissemination are addressed in chapter 10.97 RCW.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of use, you agree not to:

• Harass, stalk, or threaten a person with information found here

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Grant County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the FCRA. It creates no consumer report, credit report, or background check. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a service designed to assess a job applicant, rental application, insurance rate, or creditworthiness. You agree that information from this website or any linked tool will not be used to:

• Set an insurance premium or evaluate creditworthiness
• Choose whether to hire, retain, or dismiss a person
• Make a decision about a rental or housing applicant
• Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or public program
• Carry out any other purpose governed by the FCRA

An official check needed for a legally permitted purpose should be obtained from the Washington State Patrol through WATCH or from a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Although it describes common Grant County record procedures, it cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, sealing rule, or vacation under RCW 9.94A.640 or RCW 9.96.060 applies to a particular person.
